2025 Year in Review

As we end 2025 and transition into 2026, it is time to look back at what has been a year of quiet building for the Green Ambassador Challenge (GAC).

While our public presence has been quieter due to personal health challenges, the engine under the hood has never stopped running. We have been operating with extreme efficiency, while working on a new and improved platform to be launched in 2026.

Here is a recap of what we achieved in 2025 and what is in store for 2026

2025 by the Numbers: Efficiency & Growth

Despite minimal marketing spend and social presence, our organic growth proves that the demand for "Learn-2-Earn" sustainability education is real.

User Growth

At the start of the year we hit our 100.000 signed up user, and at the time of writing we are close to hitting 163.000 users. With minimal marketing or social activity, these numbers remain impressive, but looking under the hood there are two metrics we want to improve upon in 2026:

1. Downloading and installing a wallet remains a significant barrier, resulting in in a big retention gap between people that signed up, and people that downloaded a Vechain wallet and completely finished a challenge to receive rewards. In the background we have been working on a new system so users no longer need to download and install a wallet, making our platform easier to use and increasing the number of active users. 
2. Farmers continue to try and cheat the system. This year, we have hit over 30.000 banned accounts and constantly are iterating to make our platform more secure and make sure our valuable rewards go to real legit users. 

Content Expansion

We successfully launched 8 new challenges in 2025, broadening the scope of sustainability topics available to our community. 

Throughout the year we have been testing and working with various writers. While AI has proven to be a great tool to support us in content creation, to make sure we get high quality, fact checked, learning content, we continue to depend on quality writers to support our mission.

Treasury Health

We have managed our received B3TR allocations from the VeBetter platform with extreme discipline, making sure our platform can continue to operate and grow even through harsh market conditions. 

As seen on our Treasury Overview, our treasury currently holds around 600.000 B3TR.

Over the last three quarters of 2025, our operational expenses were less than 10% of our allocation, making sure our treasury can be used where it matters most: educating and rewarding users of the platform. 

Thanks to our efforts and your continued support by voting on us on a weekly base, the GAC treasury is healthy, secure, and ready to fund the next phase of our platform.

Global Impact at Osaka World Expo

One of our proudest moments of 2025 was our collaboration at the Osaka World Expo. Working closely together with VeChain and the San Marino Pavilion, we launched an exclusive Expo mini-app. Ten thousands of visitors used our platform during the World Expo to learn about San Marino’s green vision, earning rewards and prizes while experiencing the VeBetter ecosystem firsthand. New version of our platform coming in 2026

Much of our work this year has been "below the surface", rebuilding the platform that will allow GAC to scale from thousands of users to millions.

Security & Infrastructure

We implemented a new multi-level security system to combat farming bots and upgraded the platform to the latest VeChain SDK, ensuring we remain compatible with the cutting edge of the ecosystem.

Ready for Launch: A New Frontend

We have finished development on a completely redesigned frontend. It is modern, faster, and ready to be deployed.

The Game Changer: Seamless Onboarding

Perhaps our biggest achievement is the completion of a new backend architecture. This new system removes the requirement for users to have VeWorld installed to get started. By abstracting the crypto complexity, we have removed the biggest friction point for non-crypto natives. This opens the door for mass onboarding of "Web2" users who just want to learn and earn. 

Joining the VeFounder Program

With this robust technical foundation in place, GAC is evolving. We are proud to announce our acceptance into the VeChain Foundation’s VeFounder Program.

This program is designed to scale high-potential Web3 startups. As I navigate personal health issues, I have been working closely with the Foundation to transition GAC to a new, dedicated ownership team via this program. As VeChain CEO Sunny Lu noted in his Message to VeFounders, the journey of a founder is about knowing when to bring in new strength to climb higher. "We become the bottleneck to our own mission if we don't learn to grow the right people," Sunny wrote.

The Green Ambassador Challenge is not slowing down, but we are ready for the next phase of our platform:

• The Tech is ready: The new frontend and seamless backend are built.
• The Treasury is ready: Funds have been preserved for growth, not wasted on overhead.
• The Path is ready: The VeFounder program ensures a professional transition to take the platform to the next level.
