What is the Green Ambassador Challenge?

The Green Ambassador Challenge is a sustainability education platform built on the VeChain blockchain. You complete interactive learning challenges about environmental topics, pass an exam, and earn B3TR token rewards. It follows a learn-to-earn model: you get paid for expanding your knowledge.

Is it free to use?

Yes. The platform is completely free. There are no fees to create an account, complete challenges, or receive rewards. Funding comes from VeBetterDAO weekly emissions, not from users.

Do I need to know about blockchain to use it?

No. You don't need any blockchain experience. When you sign up, the platform can create a managed wallet for you automatically. The blockchain runs in the background. You just focus on learning and earning.

How do I get started?

Create a free account, set up your wallet, and complete your first challenge. The Getting Started section walks you through each step.

What topics do the challenges cover?

How much can I earn?

It depends on two things: the base reward listed on each challenge and your personal multiplier. The formula is:

Base reward x Your multiplier = Your reward

When will my rewards be paid out?

After you pass a challenge, there is a short waiting period before your B3TR is sent to your wallet. This waiting period protects the platform against abuse. You can track pending payouts on your account page.

Can I earn rewards for the same challenge twice?

No. Each challenge pays out once. If you retake a challenge you've already passed, you won't receive a second reward. However, there are always new challenges being added to the platform.

What is B3TR?

B3TR is the incentive token of the VeBetterDAO ecosystem, running on the VeChainThor blockchain. It's the token you earn from completing challenges. You can hold it, convert it to VOT3 to participate in governance, or use it across other VeBetterDAO apps. See B3TR and VOT3 Tokens for a deeper explanation.

How do I increase my reward multiplier?

There are several ways to grow your multiplier, depending on your wallet type:

  • Complete challenges consistently: Build streaks and stay active week over week
  • Hold your tokens: Keep B3TR in your wallet without withdrawing
  • Vote in allocation rounds: Participate in VeBetterDAO governance
  • Hold VET, B3TR, or VOT3: Larger token balances unlock higher bonuses
  • Own qualifying NFTs: Certain NFTs provide multiplier boosts

What can I do with my rewards?

You have several options. Hold your B3TR to grow your multiplier, convert it to VOT3 for voting, withdraw it to an external wallet, or use it across the VeBetterDAO ecosystem.

How do challenges work?

Each challenge includes learning activities (reading materials, videos, or other content) followed by a multiple-choice exam. Pass the exam to earn your reward. See Your First Challenge for the full process.

What happens if I fail the exam?

You can retry as many times as you need. Go back and review the learning activities before trying again. There is no penalty for failing. You just don't earn the reward until you pass.

Is there a time limit on challenges?

There is no time limit on individual challenges. You can work through the learning activities at your own pace and take the exam when you're ready.

Wallets

What's the difference between managed and self-hosted wallets?

A managed wallet is created and secured by the platform. It's the simplest option: no setup needed, and your rewards are deposited automatically.

A self-hosted wallet is one you create yourself using a wallet app like VeWorld. You control the private keys and access a wider range of multiplier bonuses.

Can I switch from a managed to a self-hosted wallet?

Yes. You can connect an external wallet address at any time from your account page. After switching, future rewards will be sent to your new wallet address.

ℹ️Note

Switching wallets does not transfer existing balances. If you have B3TR in your managed wallet, withdraw it before switching.

What is VeWorld?

VeWorld is the official wallet app from the VeChain Foundation. It's available on iOS, Android, and as a browser extension. You can download it at veworld.com. See Setting Up Your Wallet for setup steps.

Voting and support

How can I support the platform?

The most impactful thing you can do is vote for the Green Ambassador Challenge during weekly VeBetterDAO allocation rounds. Votes determine how much B3TR the platform receives to fund rewards. Voting also earns you a multiplier bonus.

What is VeBetterDAO?

VeBetterDAO is a decentralized organization on VeChain that funds sustainability apps through community-driven token emissions. The Green Ambassador Challenge is one of the approved apps in the ecosystem. The community votes each week to decide how B3TR is distributed. See What is VeBetterDAO for a full overview.

How does the treasury work?

The platform's treasury is funded by VeBetterDAO weekly emissions. Each week, the community votes to allocate B3TR to approved apps. The Green Ambassador Challenge receives its share and splits it roughly 75/25: about 75% goes directly to user reward payouts, and 25% covers development, content creation, and operations.

What is VOT3?

VOT3 is the governance token used to vote in VeBetterDAO allocation rounds. You get VOT3 by converting B3TR. See B3TR and VOT3 Tokens for details on how it works.

Do I need to vote to use the platform?

No. Voting is optional. You can earn rewards from challenges without ever voting. However, voting helps fund the platform and also unlocks a multiplier bonus for self-hosted wallets.
