Withdrawing Rewards
If you use a managed wallet, your earned B3TR tokens are stored in the platform until you withdraw them. Here's how the process works.
Do you need to withdraw?
It depends on your wallet type:

| Self-hosted wallet | No: rewards are sent directly to your external wallet after the waiting period |

How to withdraw (managed wallet)
- Go to your account page: Visit your account page and find your wallet balance
- Enter the amount: Choose how much B3TR you'd like to withdraw
- Provide a destination address: Enter the VeChain wallet address where you want to receive your tokens
- Confirm the withdrawal: Review the details and confirm. Your B3TR will be sent to the destination address on the VeChainThor blockchain
Withdrawals are processed on-chain, so a small amount of VTHO (VeChain's gas token) is required to cover the transaction fee. The platform handles this for managed wallet withdrawals. See Introduction to VeChain for more on gas fees.
The hold duration trade-off
Before you withdraw, consider the hold duration multiplier. This multiplier bonus rewards you for keeping your B3TR balance in your managed wallet without withdrawing.
Here's how it works:
- The longer you hold your funds without withdrawing, the higher your hold duration bonus grows
- Withdrawing resets the timer: your hold duration bonus drops back to its starting level
- The bonus applies to all future challenge rewards while active
Example: You've held your B3TR for 60 days and built up a hold duration bonus of +1.0 to your multiplier. If you withdraw today, that bonus resets. Every challenge you complete going forward will earn less until you rebuild the hold streak.
If you don't need the funds immediately, keeping them in your managed wallet is a simple way to earn more from every future challenge. Think of it like a loyalty reward for staying engaged.
When to withdraw
There's no wrong time to withdraw: your tokens are yours. Here are some common reasons:
- Move to a self-hosted wallet: Transfer B3TR to an external wallet like VeWorld for full control of your tokens
- Sell it: You can cash out your B3TR for dollars or other currencies using various exchanges
Once a withdrawal is confirmed and processed on-chain, it cannot be reversed. Double-check the destination wallet address before confirming. We do not have access to your funds and can't undo any transactions.
