B3TR and VOT3 Tokens

B3TR and VOT3 are the two core tokens of the VeBetterDAO ecosystem, both living on the VeChainThor blockchain. B3TR is the reward token, earned by completing challenges and participating in votes. VOT3 is the governance token, used to vote for sustainability apps and shape ecosystem decisions.

B3TR Token

B3TR is the incentive token of the VeBetterDAO ecosystem. Think of it as a reward currency for doing good. When you pass a challenge on the Green Ambassador Challenge, B3TR is sent directly to your connected wallet.

Unlike traditional loyalty points, B3TR is a real blockchain token. You own it, you control it, and you can use it however you choose.

How to earn B3TR

The primary way to earn B3TR on the Green Ambassador Challenge is by completing educational challenges:

1. Pick a challenge from the available challenges.
2. Study the material and pass the exam.
3. Receive your B3TR after a short waiting period.

Your payout depends on the challenge's base reward and your personal multiplier. For example, a challenge with a 5 B3TR base reward pays 20 B3TR if your multiplier is x4.

You can also earn B3TR through voting rewards by participating in weekly allocation rounds.

How to store B3TR

B3TR is stored in any VeChain-compatible wallet. The Green Ambassador Challenge supports two options:

What you can do with B3TR

Once you've earned B3TR, you have several options:

• Hold it: Your combined B3TR + VOT3 balance contributes to your holding multiplier, which increases future rewards.
• Swap to VOT3: Convert B3TR to VOT3 at a 1:1 ratio to vote in allocation rounds and earn voting rewards.
• Transfer or trade: B3TR is a transferable token. You can send it to another wallet or trade it on supported exchanges.
• Use across the ecosystem: B3TR works across all apps in the VeBetterDAO ecosystem.

Where does B3TR come from?

B3TR is emitted weekly from the VeBetterDAO treasury. Each week, a set amount of B3TR is released and distributed to sustainability apps based on allocation round votes. The Green Ambassador Challenge receives its share and uses it to pay rewards to users who complete challenges.

VOT3 Token

VOT3 is the governance token of the VeBetterDAO ecosystem. By holding VOT3, you can participate in weekly allocation rounds that determine how much B3TR funding each sustainability app receives.

How to get VOT3

You get VOT3 by swapping your B3TR at a 1:1 ratio. The swap works in both directions:

What VOT3 is used for

VOT3 has two main uses:

Allocation voting

Every week, VOT3 holders vote for the sustainability apps they want to support. The more votes an app gets, the more B3TR it receives from the treasury. Your vote directly influences how much funding the Green Ambassador Challenge and other apps receive.

Governance proposals

Beyond app voting, VOT3 holders can participate in broader ecosystem decisions through governance proposals. These proposals shape the rules and direction of the entire VeBetterDAO ecosystem.

B3TR and VOT3 together

Your combined B3TR + VOT3 balance counts toward the holding multiplier on the Green Ambassador Challenge. This means swapping B3TR to VOT3 does not reduce your multiplier, because both tokens contribute equally.

For example, if you hold 500 B3TR and 500 VOT3, your combined balance for the multiplier calculation is 1,000.

When you use your VOT3 to vote in an allocation round, you earn additional B3TR as a reward. You don't lose your VOT3 by voting: it stays in your wallet and can be used again the following week.
