VeBetterDAO is a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization), an organization run by its community rather than a single company. It lives on the VeChainThor blockchain and exists to accelerate sustainability through real incentives.
The idea is straightforward: people who do good things for the planet should be rewarded. VeBetterDAO makes this possible by distributing B3TR tokens to sustainability apps, which then pass those rewards on to their users.

How it works
VeBetterDAO hosts a collection of sustainability apps called X-to-earn apps. Each app incentivizes a different kind of eco-friendly behavior:

The Green Ambassador Challenge is one of the X-to-earn apps in the VeBetterDAO ecosystem. Here's the relationship:
- VeBetterDAO treasury emits B3TR tokens each week.
- VOT3 holders vote during weekly allocation rounds to decide how tokens are distributed.
- The Green Ambassador Challenge receives B3TR based on the votes it gets.
- You earn B3TR by completing challenges on the Green Ambassador Challenge.
This means the rewards you earn are directly tied to how much community support the Green Ambassador Challenge receives. When more people vote for the Green Ambassador Challenge, the app gets more funding, and more rewards are available for learners.
You can support the Green Ambassador Challenge's funding by voting for it during weekly allocation rounds. Voting also earns you additional B3TR as voting rewards.
Why a DAO?
In a traditional organization, a small group makes decisions about funding and direction. In a DAO, the community decides. VOT3 token holders vote on which apps receive funding and on broader governance proposals that shape the ecosystem.
This structure means:
- No single entity controls the treasury. Funding decisions are made collectively.
- Apps must earn community trust. Continued funding depends on continued votes.
- Anyone can participate. If you hold VOT3, you have a voice.
