The Green Ambassador Challenge is funded through VeBetterDAO weekly emissions. Here's how the money flows from the DAO to your wallet, and how you can verify it.

Where the funds come from

VeBetterDAO distributes B3TR tokens to approved sustainability apps every week through a process called weekly emissions. The amount each app receives depends on how many votes it gets during allocation rounds.

Here's the cycle:

1. VeBetterDAO emits B3TR: A fixed amount of B3TR is released each week from the DAO's emission schedule
2. Community votes: VOT3 holders vote to decide how the emitted B3TR is split among approved apps
3. The Green Ambassador Challenge receives its share: Based on the votes received, the platform's treasury is topped up with B3TR
4. Rewards are distributed: The received B3TR funds user challenge rewards

How funds are allocated

We aim for a 75/25 split: 75% of received B3TR goes to user rewards, 25% covers platform expenses. These percentages are targets and may shift based on platform needs, community input, and the amount of B3TR received each round.

The withdrawal breakdown in the live data below shows how funds have actually been spent across these categories:

• Reward Distribution: B3TR distributed to users for completing a challenge.
• Team Allocation: Used to reward the builders of the platform, excluding hours spent developing the platform.
• Development: Funds needed to pay for platform expenses and development, as well as content creation.
• Marketing: Funds needed to pay for marketing activities, like promotional events, airdrops, or referral rewards.
• Other: Transactions that do not fall into any of the categories above, for example supporting the ecosystem by providing liquidity to DEX pools.

Treasury transparency

The Green Ambassador Challenge is committed to full financial transparency. All treasury transactions are recorded on the public VeChainThor blockchain and can be independently verified using VeChainStats or any VeChain block explorer.
